Patrick Benson, Licensed Massage Therapist
Patrick has been a massage therapist for 17 year since graduating from Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute’s massage program in 2003. While pursuing his Associate of Arts Degree at Wilkes Community College, Patrick was an active member of student government and council president. After graduation, he became an instructor of Orthopedic/Sports massage. In 2006, he was promoted to director of the massage program in Boone and developed a second program in Hudson. During his tenure at Caldwell, he raised the pass rates of students to become licensed therapist in NC to 35 percent above the national average.
Patrick was a National Ski Patroller at Appalachian and Sugar Mountain for almost 20 years. During this time, he held positions including Outdoor Emergency Care, Skiing Instructor and Supervisor. He always tries to share knowledge, and most importantly, help skiers and snowboarders that needed medical attention. This experience allowed him to become efficient with orthopedic assessment and transitioning him to treat clients with long term chronic problems.
Patrick has worked in conjunction with chiropractors, physical therapists and medical doctors. He has worked with conditions such as fibromyalgia, arthritis, tendinitis, plantar fasciitis, tension and migraine headaches, whiplash, back pain, neck pain, frozen shoulder, and sciatica. He furthers his education by attending continuing education seminars. A large portion of his continuing education has focused on Active Isolated Stretching because of the positive and fast results felt by his clients. He owned and operated his own massage practice and now he is excited to bring his wealth of knowledge and experience to Alpine Chiropractic.
His hobbies include running, mountain biking, skiing, motorcycling and spending time with family and friends.
If you are looking for a relaxation massage, eliminating chronic pain or have a current injury, Patrick will strive to optimize full recovery and to help you reach your full performance potential. Call to schedule an appointment.
