Dr. Bernard E. Tosky graduated from State University of New York at Albany in 1973 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics and Pre-medicine. He went on to receive his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic. While at Palmer, Dr. Tosky was inducted into Pi Tau Delta, the International Chiropractic Honor Society, having graduated Summa Cum Laude. He was one of only six diagnostic interns and was awarded a second B.S. degree in Biology. While at Palmer, Dr. Tosky did post graduate studies in x-ray diagnosis and applied Kinesiology.
Dr. Tosky moved to Morganton in 1977 with his wife Connie. Partnering with Dr. R. Ernest Cohn, he founded clinics in Morganton and Wilkesboro and later went on to open clinics in Gamewell and Hildebran. In 1985 he was elected president of the North Carolina Chiropractic Association’s western district. Dr. Tosky has been a member of the Jaycees, Optimist Club, past President of the Burke Arts Council and brought the Soap Box Derby back to Burke County. Along with bodybuilder, Mr. North Carolina, Brad McCall, he opened Powerhouse Gym (now Flex Gym). Fascinated by Acupuncture, Dr. Tosky has spent hundreds of hours studying the ancient Chinese form of healing and, in 1996, received a Fellowship Degree in Acupuncture.
Dr. Tosky has two daughters. His hobbies include reading, swimming, astronomy, bodybuilding and hiking the many Blue Ridge trails with his wife Connie.
